Message from the organizers!

Dear participants:

We very much hope that you and your families are doing well in these strange circumstances. We are writing to update you about the EAWOP summer school in September 2020.

We are currently monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are in communication with the EAWOP Executive Committee regarding best course of action. Given that we still have 6 months until the summer school takes place and the situation is very dynamic, it is early to make any final decisions. We still very much hope things will quiet down (meaning the virus spread decreases and gets under control), and that the Summer School will proceed as planned.  If the situation does not improve by the end of May, we may decide to postpone the summer school for a later time that will be convenient for you all. Your registrations will still be valid, and we encourage those of you who have not registered yet to please finalise your registrations at your earliest convenience. We will also extend the registration deadline until the 30th of June to accommodate budget spending constraints currently imposed in some universities. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel, we will refund all paid fees (but this is not a scenario that we envision happening). We understand that this is an uncertain and stressful situation for all, and we will be sending you updates when new information becomes available.

We very much hope and look forward to seeing you in September.
Until then, stay safe!

Best wishes
The organizing committee
