Assistant Professor in Human Resource Studies

Job requirements
The HR Studies department is looking for an enthusiastic new team member who is excellent in both teaching and research. To extend the department’s current range of expertise, we are particularly keen to recruit an Assistant Professor whose main focus is on HR Analytics, or on the intersection between HR and data science. Data science, with a large role for mathematical and statistical techniques as well as humantechnology interaction, is rapidly becoming one of the most important research areas of TSB and Tilburg University. Given this context, we want to strengthen our focus on HR analytics. Applicants should be particularly strong in advanced quantitative research techniques and analyses of big data. The post will involve teaching on both the Bachelor and Master programs (the teaching will be related to HR analytics), supervising Master’s theses as well as developing your own research activities in line with department’s research programme

Qualifications
Applicants should hold a PhD in HRM, business management, econometrics, methodology or social sciences and have a strong publication and teaching record. You will need to be fluent in both written and spoken English and possess excellent presentation and communication skills.


Terms of employment
Tilburg University is among the top Dutch employers and has an excellent policy concerning terms of employment. The collective employment terms and conditions for Dutch universities will apply. For the tenure track Assistant Professor, a five-year tenure track, with the possibility of tenure thereafter, applies. The salary for the position of an Assistant Professor on a full-time basis ranges between € 3.366,- and € 4.608,- gross per month (various allowances are not included).

The Department of Human Resource Studies within TSB, headed by Professor Marc van Veldhoven, is a well-established department with a strong reputation spanning almost three decades for being the only department in the Netherlands to offer both a Bachelor and Master program in HR Studies.
