Purpose and Main Duties
Birkbeck, University of London, is a research-intensive institution ranked in the top 1% in the world by the THE. The School of Business, Economics and Informatics brings together the College’s business-facing activities, teaching around 5000 students in its four departments. The Department of Organisational Psychology combines research and teaching in Occupational and Organisational Psychology, Leadership and Human Resource Development and Management.
We invite applications for a Lectureship in Occupational/ Organisational Psychology. You will be expected to pursue a vibrant research programme making an active contribution to our research groups with particular focus on application and impact into organisational practice. You will embrace Birkbeck’s commitment to access and opportunity in higher education in a research-intensive environment through evening teaching and flexible, innovative provision.
Candidate Requirements
Ideally, candidates will have a PhD in Occupational or Organisational Psychology demonstrating relevant expertise in the field. For this post, we particularly welcome applications from candidates with an existing interest and track record in coaching research and/ or research which has particular relevance to quality in education and employability. Applicants with different fields of expertise are however also encouraged to apply. Eligibility for Chartered Status with the British Psychological Society and for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is desired. We support staff to obtain fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
