POST-DOC POSITION IN PSYCHOLOGY (80%, OR UPON AGREEMENT)

Start date:  February 1st, 2017 (or upon agreement)
End date:  December 31st, 2018
Location: University of Lausanne, Lausanne (Switzerland)

Job description
The candidate will work within the project Career Paths lead by Jérôme Rossier in collaboration with Franciska Krings and Koorosh Massoudi from the University of Lausanne, Alexandra Freund and Willibald Ruch from the University of Zürich, and their team. The project consists in a 7-year longitudinal study of a representative sample of the Swiss working age population. We analyze stressful life and professional conditions (e.g., perceived stress, job strain, discrimination at the workplace, job insecurity), individual characteristics (such as personality, character strengths, or demographic attributes) and resources (such as adapt-abilities resources, self-efficacy or self-regulatory skills) and their activation on adults’ career transitions, pathways and their well-being.
 

Tasks
The main tasks will be 1) to manage and implement the processes related to the longitudinal project, 2) to analyze and exploit the longitudinal data, present results in international conferences, write scientific articles and book chapters, and help in the communication with the broader public, and 3) to participate in the administration of the project within the NCCR LIVEs.
 

Requirements
The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Psychology (or equivalent degree), has a strong interest and solid skills in longitudinal research on life course trajectories and/or professional adjustment processes. S/he has a solid experience in applying longitudinal quantitative methods, is fluent in English and has good scientific communication skills (oral and written). Further, s/he has excellent team work and research management skills.
