Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) work within some of the key areas important to fulfilling the motto of Karolinska Institutet \"to improve human health\". We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher focusing on the effect of psychosocial work environment factors, to the PROCOME research group, Medical Management Centre (MMC). The position is fixed to one year full term employment but there can be a possibility for prolonging.
About the research group
Intervention processes and outcomes (PROCOME) research group focuses on research on effects and implementation of innovative improvement programs in different type of organizations, with specific focus on health and social care.
Duties
All work will take place within the boundaries of a newly started project aiming at investigating psychosocial workplace factors at the work unit level that relate to employee health and promote the capacity for sustainable change in health care organizations. Parts of the project will be conducted in close collaboration with the Unit of Implementation and Evaluation, Centre for Epidemiology and Community Medicine at Stockholm County Council.
You will conduct advanced work- and organizational research based on longitudinal multi-level questionnaire data. One main task is to analyze the longitudinal multi-level data using different statistical techniques to answer to the questions posed in the project. You are involved in development of study ideas as well as writing scientific articles, and present these findings at scientific conferences. You will also be involved in helping organizations to implement the results.
You will also establish routines related to research documentation (e.g., ELN), work with applications for ethical approval proactively work with grant applications for ideas originating for this project etc.
Moreover, you are going to work with administrative tasks related to the research process and support the project leader.
Entry requirements
Applications are invited from talented and enthusiastic applicants with good knowledge on psychosocial work environment topics and organizational interventions, as well as advanced skills in statistics (i.e. multi-level modelling and SEM).
To be eligible the applicant must:
Have obtained a PhD in psychology or similar topics focusing on the psychosocial work environment no more than seven years before the last date of employment as a post doc. The term can be extended under special circumstance.
Have a strong interest and skills in quantitative statically methods. Competence and experience of analyzing longitudinal multi-level data is a prerequisite. It is meritorious to have a formal education in statistics and to be able to use statistical software such as Mplus or R.
Have excellent English skills (orally and written); Swedish is of advantage.
Have an interest in occupation health promotion and organizational interventions, experience in consulting/practical work related to these topics is of advantage.
Furthermore, it is required that the candidate works independently with the research work, has good analytical skills and very good collaboration and communication skills. Moreover, scientific competency is required, therefore documented skills of work with grant applications, scientific articles and research related administration and communication is desired.
