Instats.org offers hands-on seminars covering introductory and advanced statistical methods, as well as statistical consulting by global research methods leaders. Our workshops are held remotely for participants across the globe, with an emphasis on PhD and post PhD researchers from academia as well as the non-profit, government, and private sectors – Instats offers certificates of completion and ECTS equivalent points awarded for European PhD students. You are invited to come along attend one of our over 50 on-demand or livestreamed seminars, as well as our multi-seminar structured courses. Instats also offers free workshops and office hours so that you can get the help you need at no cost. Introduction to Multilevel Modeling in SPSS and Mplus by professor Vicente Gonzalez-Roma, January 23-25. This workshop will provide you with everything you need to know to start planning, conducting, and publishing your own multilevel research. Meta-Analytic SEM in R by professor Mike Cheung, February 8-10. Introduction to SEM with PLS: From Basics to Advanced Applications by professor James Gaskin, February 24-25. This seminar will take you from zero experience with SmartPLS to conducting advanced analyses including path models and structural equation models estimated via PLS, with hands-on worked examples illustrating the conceptual foundations and more advanced applications. This seminar approaches measurement modeling from the perspective of survey respondents’ psychology to produce better measurement models, both conceptually and statistically, including (a) the selection of indicators of latent constructs, (b) data collection as a psychological process of survey responding, and then (c) specifying and testing measurement models that are able to adequately reflect this process (using CFA). Introduction to Continuous Time Structural Equation Modeling (CTSEM) by professor Christian Dormann, March 15-17. Dynamic Structural Equation Modeling (DSEM) in Mplus by professor Michael Zyphur, May 4-5. This seminar will show you how to model intensive longitudinal panel data as a multilevel model. This type of dynamic SEM (DSEM) allows separating the stable and unstable components of observed variables over time, offering several advantages such as the inclusion of time-varying variables and lagged relationships to assess predictive forms of causality over time, as well as random slopes to reflect individual differences in effects.
